The Cross-Country Summer Series kicked off the six event season with a challenging run through the Spencer Crest Nature Center at Corning Community College on a balmy July evening. Fifty runners of all ages tackled the well-marked wooded paths and meadows before enjoying chilled Gatorade, snacks, and good company. Robert Kern, the consummate host, created the perfect event to kick off the six run series.
The remaining five events, all starting at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays, are:
